Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I get on the waiting list?

Our program does not maintain a waiting list, per se. Families who have attended the Open House, individually Toured the Facilities, and have attended the Intro to RIE/Montessori Parent class are invited to register for the next availability. Availability is often projected a year in advance and closed when the program can not accommodate additional enrollment. To register for the wait list, families should first attend a scheduled Zoom Open House.

  • My child is over two years and I don't see an Open House opportunity

Most years, availability within our programs PrePrimary and Primary Programs is committed to currently enrolled families and those attending Parent Guidance Classes. We may become aware of any additional availability after our in-house registration in January. Priority after siblings and guidance class attendees is afforded to Montessori transfer students. Families with children ages two and up should contact the school February at theRIEway@gmail.com for possible upcoming school year availability.

  • How long is your waiting list?

Families who have registered (toured and paid the registration fee) are given a projected enrollment date up to a year in advance. Oftentimes, currently enrolled families commit to staying through the Kindergarten year during our in-house registration each January. Given retention rates, the waitlist can exceed two to three years for older children.

  • What if I can not make the Open House?

Attending a virtual Open House is a requirement prior to touring the facilities in person. If you are unable to attend one of the quarterly scheduled Open House dates, attending one of our many Adult Education Seminars may serve in lieu of an Open House. Additionally, New and Expectant Parent Guidance classes afford attendees enrollment priority next to siblings. You may find out more about upcoming Parent Guidance classes and Adult Education events  on the school website.

  • Hours of Operation

The demonstration center operates childcare facilities Monday-Friday 8am-12noon or 8am-3pm. Before and After Care hours are not available at this time. Children are assigned a Primary Teacher within a peer group that stays together throughout their experiences at the school and, therefore, enrollment space cannot be shared.

  • Tuition

The Tuition and Fee schedule is non-published and shared during the virtual Open House.
